Carrying out your organization’s mission is what unites your board members together. How your board members help carry out mission is often where a disconnect can develop. A tool for strengthening the management and governance operations of your board is an Executive Committee. Join in this discussion about defining the value and role of an Executive Committee. Learn about what an Executive Committee is not and challenges that can develop. This facilitated session will help you strategize about how build a more effective board using your Executive Committee.  


About the Southern Tier Capacity Building Program: Nonprofit organizations with a Board Member in attendance at two of the six trainings offered in 2019 can apply for the Southern Tier Capacity Building Mini-Grant Program, as well as the Building Your Organizational Road Map Program. The Mini-Grant Program and Organizational Road Map assistance are supported by United Way of Broome County, The Stewart W. and Willma C. Hoyt Foundation, The Community Foundation for South Central New York and Conrad and Virginia Klee Foundation.
