Between the Nonprofit Revitalization Act and the New York State Grants Gateway, ongoing governance and best practice challenges, compliance and public policy issues, along with the complexities of fundraising, marketing and branding themselves in a social media world, nonprofits were dealing with a dynamic landscape last year.
NYCON was there every step of the way working with our members, educating elected officials, working with our partners inside the legislature and informing our members on these initiatives and how to best implement mandated changes in their organizations. We don’t see any of this slowing down anytime soon.
While all of that was happening, we’ve also spent last year working to deliver free Lunch & Learn webinars to over 2,000 members’ staff and board, providing Employee Benefits and Organizational Insurance to over 600 nonprofits and providing one-on-one consulting and technical assistance to over 300 members!

To help our members, NYCON has published a Remedial Action Guide for Compliance and include one (1) hour of legal consultation in addition to the publication. (Cost: $300)

Fundraising Workshops on Demand, from Network for Good Fundraising Fundamentals Trainings from Network for Good are free to NYCON Members only! These are offered to other nonprofits for $360 per year.
New programs and services (including support for a New York State Day of Giving!) are sure to be added throughout the year. Of course, members still receive discounts on events like Camp Finance and the "Being a Successful Executive Director Retreat" as well as access to our one-on-one consulting & technical assistance and free phone consultations with NYCON staff.
