At the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, the members of the Hudson Valley Funders Network came together to find ways to support the region’s nonprofit sector.

To ensure essential programs and services can be preserved and sustained, organizations must have the capacity to adapt strategically in times of significant change. It is with this understanding that the Funders Network, with financial support from MVP Health Care, partnered with NYCON and TechImpact to develop this exclusive new training series for Hudson Valley Nonprofits.

CYBER SECURITY BASICS:
Date: January 28, 2021
Time: 2:45pm-4:15pm
Nonprofit staff may recognize that cyber attacks are frequent and damaging to both their finances and their reputation, but consider the task to protect themselves, even minimally, to be daunting and complex. During this session you will learn:

  • The State of Nonprofit Security + Examples
  • Pieces of Security Landscape
  • What do you have, who wants it, and how will they get it
  • Assessing Risk
  • Best Practices for Cyber Security Basics
  • Office365 Licensing Overview
  • IT policies that help protect the organization.
  • Configuration and Support

This webinar is open to organizations in Columbia, Dutchess, Greene, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Sullivan, Ulster and Westchester Counties.

We are grateful for the funding and support provided by our partners, including MVP Health Care, who are dedicated to building a healthier, more vibrant nonprofit sector in the Hudson Valley and beyond.
