NYCON’s Executive Director Leadership Retreats are multiple-day training sessions for executive directors with 5 years or less experience. These retreats have helped hundreds of nonprofit leaders across New York State master the diverse set of skills necessary to be a successful executive director.
Led by a multi-disciplinary team of experienced instructors, this retreat emphasizes real-world elements of nonprofit executive leadership, management, and problem-solving. Participants are introduced to systems and concepts, through practical application and can engage in region, service, and organization-specific conversations with our instructors and their peers. Participants have an opportunity to schedule individual consultations with our instructors. Through this model, NYCON blends one-on-one consultations, group training, and cohort discussions to explore the experiences, challenges, and opportunities in the nonprofit sector.

NYCON’s Executive Director Leadership Retreats are held multiple times each year in locations across New York State. Accommodations: Two nights stay and all meals over the course of the retreat are included in your registration. For those local to the retreat, a commuter rate may be available. Schedule: The retreat occurs over the course of three days beginning the afternoon of day one, the full second day, and concluding following a morning session on the third day. Specific times will vary based on the session.
